Caravan is purchasing software for small businesses. Its AI assistant prepares purchasing proposals (reorders, purchase orders, negotiated deals), and a person on the team has to approve each one before anything is ordered or spent. A team member who turns on text-message approvals gets a text when proposals are waiting for them, with a link to a secure page where they review and approve or reject. The text is a notification: the decision is made on that page, after signing in. Texts go only to people who have opted in, at the number they verified.
We send nothing else: no marketing, no promotions, nothing to people who haven’t opted in. Message and data rates may apply.
You opt in yourself, signed in to your Caravan account, under Settings → Approve by text message. You enter your US mobile number and tick the box below. We then text a verification code to that number, and nothing else is sent until you enter it. The box and its wording, exactly as Settings shows them:
This is a picture of the form, not a working one. The box is required: without it no code is sent.
A person whose texts are set to Spanish (Settings → Approve by text message) sees the same wording in Spanish beside the box:
Reply STOP to any text and we stop texting that number, everywhere in Caravan. These words also stop texts: STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, OPTOUT. You can also switch texts off under Settings. Reply HELP for help, or email support@ecaravan.org. To receive texts again after stopping, you opt in again in Settings.
Mobile numbers and consent to receive texts are never shared with anyone for their marketing. Our privacy policy says who handles texts for us and how long records are kept, and our terms of service cover the service as a whole. Consent is not a condition of buying or using Caravan: approvals can always be made in the app.
